My name is Tayo, face behind “WashedwiththeWord”. I live in Hampshire, England with my husband and three children. I’m always excited to share with people all my wonderful discoveries about God, found in His word.

Born and raised in a Christian home but only started to have a personal and meaningful relationship with God in 2018, when I encountered him. For the very first time, I understood what the CROSS truly meant; that Jesus had indeed paid for all I needed to be declared righteous and that He had set me free from every sin, guilt, shame and condemnation and that I had power.

Oh what joy filled my soul that very day! This kindness of God had drawn me closer. Instantly I was changed from the inside. It was as though a light bulb was switched on and suddenly the whole world became bright and full of light and I was exploding with love for everyone and everything around me. I remember smiling and saying hello to every single person I met on the bus for days after! Okay maybe not every single person…but I was bubbling with joy to say the least. Indeed I became a new creation!

Since then it’s been a journey of getting to know more of my father in heaven, his great and perfect love for me and what it truly means to be called a Child of God!
